Direct Support Professional

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Professional to join their team in Marion, Linn County, working full‑time on site.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional you will provide hands‑on assistance to individuals who need help with everyday tasks, encouraging independence while ensuring their safety and well‑being. The position is based at Sevita’s Marion facility and requires regular, reliable attendance.

What You'll Do

• Support clients with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and household chores.
• Assist in developing and practicing life‑skills such as budgeting, cooking, and social interaction.
• Follow individualized support plans and document progress accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any concerns promptly.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings; a valid driver’s license held for at least one year with no restrictions is required.
• Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and clinical staff to coordinate care.
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to stay current on best practices.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license with a minimum of one year of uninterrupted, restriction‑free driving.
• Compassionate, patient demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions, work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete background checks, health screenings, and required Sevita training.
• Reliable punctuality and a commitment to consistent attendance.

What We Offer

• Starting hourly rate between $15.25 and $22.00.
