About the Role
As a full‑time Activities Coordinator, you will design and lead engaging programs that support individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them build skills, foster social connections, and enjoy meaningful daily experiences. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team to ensure activities align with each person’s goals and Sevita’s commitment to high‑quality, person‑centered care.
What You'll Do
- Develop weekly activity calendars that reflect participants’ interests, abilities, and therapeutic objectives.
- Facilitate group and one‑on‑one sessions ranging from arts and crafts to recreational outings and life‑skills workshops.
- Adapt activities to accommodate diverse needs, ensuring safety, inclusivity, and active participation.
- Document progress, note observations, and communicate updates to supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Maintain activity spaces, manage supplies, and follow all health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Encourage peer interaction and community integration through planned events and volunteer collaborations.
