About the Role
This position provides essential support during the lunch period at elementary schools, helping to create a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for students. The role is full‑time and aligns with the 2026‑2027 school year calendar.
What You'll Do
- Supervise students in the cafeteria and surrounding areas to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Assist with the distribution of meals, monitor food lines, and help students with seating and cleanup.
- Respond to minor incidents, follow district protocols for student welfare, and notify staff of any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining tables, trays, and common areas after each lunch session.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and food service staff to support daily operations.
- Perform related duties as assigned to support the overall elementary school environment.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, as determined by the Board of Education.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a positive school climate.
- Ability to follow instructions, adhere to district policies, and handle routine tasks independently.
- Willingness to work a consistent schedule aligned with the elementary school lunch program.
