About the Role
We are looking for experienced and inspiring data science leaders who are excited to take ownership of critical areas in the business—such as product optimization, personalization, or marketing—and lead small, collaborative teams to deliver meaningful impact.
As a Lead Data Scientist at Fever, you will combine strong technical skills with an ability to work across diverse teams and projects. You’ll use data to solve complex business problems while also supporting the growth and development of your teammates.
This is a highly cross-functional and visible role where your work will directly shape key business and product decisions. You’ll have the chance to influence the direction of the Data Science team and contribute to our shared culture of learning, innovation, and inclusion.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of strategic data science projects, from exploration to deployment
- Guide, mentor, and support a small team of Data Scientists, helping them grow technically and professionally
- Design and build models for personalization, forecasting, user behavior analysis, and marketing efficiency
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to turn data insights into real-world impact
- Help prioritize projects effectively based on value and feasibility, keeping a strong product and user focus
- Play an active role in hiring, onboarding, and nurturing an inclusive team culture
- Partner with senior leaders to inform strategic planning for the Data function at Fever
Who You Are
- You have strong foundations in statistics, machine learning, and mathematics (a Master’s or PhD is a plus).
- You are confident in exploring data, designing models, and evaluating their performance with rigor
- You thrive in ambiguity, balancing tech health with speed of impact and learning, and are able to help a team incorporate new information as it emerges
- You are skilled in SQL and Python-based tools (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- You write clean, maintainable, and reproducible code, and can also prototype ideas quickly when needed
- You have experience leading data science projects and know how to deliver valuable insights without overcomplicating the solution
- You enjoy helping others grow, sharing feedback, and fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment
- You are curious, resourceful, and proactive when faced with complex challenges.
Nice to Have
- Experience with recommendation systems, Bayesian modeling, or causal inference
- Background in growth, marketing analytics, or digital product optimization
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
- Exposure to experimentation platforms or production ML pipelines.
