Ready to be part of the experience?

Now, let’s discuss this role and what you will do to help achieve Fever’s mission.

We are looking for a Staff Product Engineer to join our Data Team. This is a role for an engineer who cares deeply about product impact, user experience, and how systems connect to real business outcomes. You will work across the full stack, from the interfaces users interact with to the services and data layers that power them, and bridge the gap between our AI and data capabilities and the products people actually use. You won’t just take tickets and ship code. You’ll own features end-to-end: shaping the problem with Product and Design, building it, defining success metrics, and iterating based on real data. If you thrive in ambiguous, high-leverage environments, love shipping with judgment, and want your engineering work to be visibly tied to outcomes that matter, you’ll fit right in.

Tech environment

This role is intentionally not defined by one framework or specialty. That said, you will likely operate across the full stack: a modern TypeScript web platform where several frontends and frameworks coexist, and where moving between them matters more than allegiance to one, that also ships inside our native apps through webviews and a native/web bridge; Python-based services and APIs; relational, NoSQL, and search datastores, data warehouses, and SQL; event-driven and distributed systems; cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines; and observability tooling. Depending on the project, you may also work with LLM APIs and agent-based workflows, retrieval patterns, data orchestration, and product analytics and A/B experimentation.

Nice to have

  • Strong TypeScript and depth in at least one modern web framework. Our web platform is a large monorepo combining several frontends, where Angular and Astro/Svelte coexist. Comfort moving across frameworks matters more than allegiance to one.
  • Strong componentization skills: designing reusable components and shared modules whose logic lives in framework-agnostic packages, including web features that ship inside our native apps through webviews and JavaScript/native bridges. Our apps are Kotlin/Jetpack Compose and Swift/SwiftUI; you won’t own them, but you’ll integrate deeply with them.
  • Sound judgment on when to render server-side vs client-side (or hybrid), driven by functional and non-functional requirements such as SEO, performance, personalization, and caching, rather than framework defaults.
  • Experience working on internal platforms, operational tools, or product-heavy backend systems.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, and SQL-heavy applications.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures or messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar infrastructure patterns.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling (Datadog or similar).
  • Exposure to AI-enabled product development: LLM integrations, agent frameworks (LangGraph/LangChain), LLM observability (Langfuse), RAG patterns, or workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Product tracking at Fever runs through Dataverse, our in-house unified behavioural event layer built on server-side GTM, so knowing how GA and GTM work is enough to find your way around. We also use Mixpanel.
  • Familiarity with product experimentation: A/B testing, feature flags, and edge-side experimentation. We bucket anonymous users and run rollouts at the CDN edge (CloudFront Functions), with Statsig and Optimizely as the experimentation platforms.
  • Experience working on 0 to 1 initiatives or undefined problem spaces.
  • Demonstrated leadership through ownership of difficult projects with broad impact.

What success looks like

  • You turn ambiguous opportunities into working systems or products that create clear value.
  • You help teams make better trade-offs and avoid overengineering, fragmentation, and local optimization.
  • You improve not only what gets built, but also how decisions are made.
  • You become a trusted technical leader for important cross-functional initiatives.
  • You increase the leverage of other engineers and teams through your judgment, technical direction, and execution support.
  • You help connect engineering work to real operational and business outcomes.

Who will thrive in this role

You will likely thrive here if:

  • You are energized by ambitious, messy, high-leverage problems.
  • You like operating where priorities evolve and the path is not fully defined.
  • You care more about impact than about staying inside a narrowly defined engineering lane.
  • You enjoy combining engineering depth, product thinking, and business context.
  • You naturally look for the highest-leverage way to move a system, a team, or a product forward.
  • You want to play a meaningful role in shaping how the company builds and scales.

Why join Fever

  • You will work on some of the company’s most strategic problems.
  • You will have real ownership and visible impact.
  • You will help shape products, systems, and capabilities that matter across the business.
  • You will work in an environment that values ambition, adaptability, pragmatism, and execution.
  • You will be surrounded by smart, driven people who care about building things that matter.

Benefits & Perks

  • Flexible schedule
  • 2 days per week at the office
  • 40% discount on all Fever events and experiences
  • Health insurance from Day 1
  • English or Spanish Lessons
  • Wellhub Membership
  • Cobee (tax free allowance on restaurants and transport)
  • Possibility to receive in advance part of your salary by Payflow
