About the Role

In this manager-level program planning position, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs from inception through completion. You'll translate organizational objectives into actionable program strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure initiatives stay aligned with business goals and technical requirements. This role requires a Secret security clearance and involves approximately 10% travel to customer sites and program locations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program schedules, milestones, and deliverables for defense and aerospace initiatives
  • Lead program planning activities including risk assessment, resource allocation, and budget forecasting
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and support teams to ensure program objectives are met on time and within scope
  • Monitor program performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Communicate program status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous process improvement across program management disciplines

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of program planning, project management, or related program management experience in a defense, aerospace, or government contracting environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility
  • Strong expertise in program scheduling tools, risk management methodologies, and planning best practices
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with the capacity to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, or related discipline; relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) a plus
