Echo / Vascular Technician

Good Samaritan is hiring a full-time Echo / Vascular Technician to join our cardiovascular imaging department in Vincennes, Knox County. In this role, you'll perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, operate specialized imaging equipment, and help our physicians diagnose cardiac and vascular conditions with precision.

About the Role

As an Echo / Vascular Technician, you'll be an essential member of our imaging services team, performing a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound studies and supporting patient care quality. This full-time position in Vincennes combines technical skill with direct patient interaction and clinical documentation.

What You'll Do

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography and other cardiac ultrasound examinations
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures under physician direction
• Execute stress echocardiogram protocols to evaluate cardiac performance
• Perform duplex ultrasound examinations of carotid arteries and cerebrovascular anatomy
• Complete upper and lower extremity arterial and venous ultrasound studies
• Operate ultrasound equipment and imaging software according to established protocols and quality standards
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging protocols, and maintain patient comfort and safety
• Process ultrasound data, perform measurements and calculations, and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation
• Assist physicians and surgeons, including cardiothoracic specialists, during procedures and interventions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare privacy and safety regulations

What We're Looking For

• Professional sonography certification or current eligibility to obtain certification
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic principles
• Proficiency with vascular ultrasound protocols and interpretation of findings
• Competency operating ultrasound systems and imaging software platforms
• Strong communication skills with patients and clinical team members
• Detail-oriented approach to image acquisition quality and medical documentation
• Dedication to patient confidentiality, safety, and healthcare standards
• Reliability and availability to support imaging department scheduling needs
