High School Girls Assistant Volleyball Coach

About the Role

In this assistant coaching role, you will work collaboratively with the head coach to develop young female volleyball players. Your focus will be on creating a supportive environment where athletes build technical skills, gain confidence, and develop the discipline necessary for competitive play. This is a full-time position dedicated to the growth and success of our student-athletes both on and off the court.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the head coach to design and execute daily practice plans focused on volleyball fundamentals
• Instruct athletes in essential volleyball techniques including passing, setting, serving, spiking, and defensive positioning
• Develop and oversee conditioning and strength training programs to enhance athletic performance and prevent injury
• Contribute to game strategy development and provide coaching support during competition
• Model and reinforce positive behavior, sportsmanship, and character aligned with school values
• Maintain equipment and assist with facility management as assigned
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and school leadership regarding team progress

What We're Looking For

• Solid understanding of volleyball rules, techniques, and competitive play
• Prior experience playing or coaching volleyball at the high school level or equivalent
• Ability to teach fundamental skills to athletes of varying ability levels
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and athlete development
• Organized, detail-oriented approach to practice planning and athletic management
• Willingness to support the broader school athletic program
