Join UCHealth's Women's Care team as a Sonographer in Colorado Springs and help provide compassionate ultrasound services to patients in our community. This is an as-needed, day-shift position based in Stratmoor Hills, El Paso County, offering flexible scheduling and competitive hourly compensation ($40.40–$56.56/hour, based on experience).
About the Role
As a Women's Care Sonographer, you'll perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations supporting obstetric and gynecologic patient care at UCHealth. Working on a PRN basis, you'll bring clinical expertise and patient-centered care to each appointment, maintaining the highest standards of sonographic practice and quality imaging.
What You'll Do
- Conduct diagnostic sonography examinations for women's health, including obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and competently, adhering to established protocols and clinical guidelines
- Position patients appropriately and apply clinical judgment to capture diagnostic images
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
- Document findings thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ultrasound environment
What We're Looking For
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential or equivalent certification
- State sonography licensure as required by Colorado
- Professional experience in obstetric or gynecologic sonography preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and evidence-based practice
- Flexibility to work on a PRN schedule with day-shift availability
