Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant III Supporting the US Att with Security Clearance

FSA is hiring a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant III in Detroit, Michigan to support federal prosecutors in a nationwide law enforcement initiative targeting organized crime and criminal enterprises.

About the Role

This full-time position plays a key part in federal efforts to dismantle criminal organizations, deprive them of proceeds from unlawful activity, and degrade criminal enterprise infrastructure. You'll provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys prosecuting complex federal cases involving organized crime, asset forfeiture, and related federal crimes.

What You'll Do

• Prepare legal documents, motions, briefs, and court filings for complex federal litigation
• Conduct extensive legal research on criminal statutes, asset forfeiture law, and federal prosecution standards
• Organize and maintain detailed case files, evidence logs, and trial exhibits
• Support discovery processes and witness preparation for federal trials
• Assist federal attorneys on cases targeting organized crime and criminal enterprises
• Manage timelines and compliance for multi-party federal litigation
• Coordinate with federal agencies on prosecutorial support and clearance-related matters

What We're Looking For

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance, or eligibility for federal clearance
• Three or more years of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience
• Strong knowledge of federal criminal law and asset forfeiture procedures
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management systems
• Superior writing and communication abilities
• Capacity to manage complex cases with strict deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
