As a Middle Market Commercial Banker at Wintrust Financial, you'll serve as a trusted financial advisor to business clients, managing a portfolio of commercial lending relationships while identifying growth opportunities. This position combines sophisticated financial expertise with our commitment to personalized service—delivering enterprise-level banking capabilities to the companies that drive our regional and national economy.

What You'll Do

• Develop, cultivate, and expand commercial banking relationships with middle market businesses across diverse industries
• Analyze financial statements and credit information to assess borrower creditworthiness and structure appropriate lending solutions
• Originate and document commercial loans, including term loans, revolving lines of credit, and specialized financing arrangements
• Monitor and manage existing client portfolios to ensure credit quality and ongoing compliance with banking standards
• Collaborate with internal credit, operations, and legal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and documentation
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and coordinate specialty finance and wealth management services for existing and prospective clients

What We're Looking For

• Substantial commercial lending or relationship management experience with a track record of successful loan origination
• Strong knowledge of commercial loan products, credit analysis techniques, and credit risk assessment
• Proven ability to manage client relationships independently and navigate complex financial discussions
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and technical writing capabilities
• Working knowledge of banking regulations, lending compliance standards, and credit underwriting practices
• Professional communication and presentation skills for diverse business audiences
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field
