Locum Physician (MD/DO)

CompHealth is seeking a full-time locum physician with MD or DO credentials to join the emergency medicine team in Pittsburg, Kansas. This 3-day-per-week assignment offers scheduling flexibility and competitive compensation, with an immediate start date available.

About the Role

As a locum emergency medicine physician in Pittsburg, you'll deliver direct patient care in a dynamic emergency department environment. This temporary physician assignment fills critical staffing needs while providing you control over your work schedule and the opportunity to practice in a new setting.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute medical and surgical conditions
• Perform diagnostic assessment, including physical examination and clinical decision-making
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Manage patient stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions
• Document patient care and maintain compliance with medical record standards
• Work collaboratively with emergency nursing, specialist physicians, and hospital departments

What We're Looking For

• Active MD or DO license in Kansas
• Board certification or board eligibility in emergency medicine
• Current ACLS certification; PALS preferred
• Ability to practice independently in a high-acuity setting
• Professional communication and strong teamwork skills
• Commitment to reliable, quality patient care
