Laboratory – Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technician

Delta Health System-The Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical laboratory team. As a full-time Medical Technician, you'll perform essential patient specimen analysis and diagnostic testing that directly supports patient care and clinical decision-making.

About the Role

This is a hands-on laboratory position where you'll work at the heart of clinical diagnostics. You'll prepare and analyze patient specimens using established protocols, operate laboratory equipment, and maintain the precision and accuracy that patient care demands. Your work in our Greenville laboratory contributes directly to diagnosis and treatment decisions.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and analyze patient specimens including blood, urine, and other samples for diagnostic testing
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests using modern diagnostic equipment
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure reliable results
• Execute quality control procedures to verify test accuracy and reliability
• Maintain meticulous laboratory records and ensure proper specimen documentation
• Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols in the laboratory environment
• Collaborate with clinical staff and laboratory leadership to deliver timely, accurate results

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree or Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or related science field
• Current students pursuing degrees in Medical Technology or related fields considered on a case-by-case basis, with duty limitations as appropriate
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to follow protocols carefully and work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Professional communication skills and dedication to patient-centered care
