CPE SETA_Program Budget Analyst II

People Technology And Processes is seeking a Program Budget Analyst II to support Army financial operations and budget management services at our Aberdeen, Harford County location. This is a full-time position requiring Secret-level security clearance eligibility.

About the Role

As a Program Budget Analyst II, you'll play a critical role in financial planning, cost analysis, and budgeting support for military and defense-related programs. This position involves working with modern enterprise resource planning systems, specifically the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), to ensure accurate financial tracking, budget forecasting, and fiscal compliance across multiple cost categories and program streams.

What You'll Do

• Analyze program budgets and develop comprehensive cost assessments across financial and accounting categories
• Support budget development cycles through forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
• Navigate and maintain records within the GFEBS enterprise resource planning system to ensure data integrity
• Prepare detailed financial reports and budget narratives for program stakeholders and decision-makers
• Review expenditures and obligations to identify cost management opportunities and policy compliance
• Collaborate with program managers and finance teams on budget-related inquiries and adjustments

What We're Looking For

• Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret-level security clearance
• Demonstrated experience with budget analysis, financial accounting, or related cost management work
• Strong proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems or similar financial software platforms
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with numerical data and financial documentation
• Solid written and verbal communication abilities for working with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of federal budget processes, accounting standards, and cost accounting principles is a plus
