About the Role
As an Inventory Control Specialist I, you'll be the backbone of property program operations, managing inventory tracking, accountability, and reporting for specialized equipment and materials. You'll collaborate closely with the Logistics Officer and use industry-standard systems to maintain accurate asset records and ensure smooth material flow.
What You'll Do
- Operate DPAS (Defense Property Accountability System), SPEAR (Special Operations Force Personnel Equipment Advance Requirements), and COLTS (Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking Systems) to track and manage inventory
- Schedule and monitor inventory progress, conducting regular counts and verifications
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of all property and materials
- Assist the Logistics Officer with daily inventory management and reporting functions
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and documentation errors
- Support receiving, issuing, and organization of equipment and materials
- Generate and maintain inventory reports and documentation
What We're Looking For
- Current or eligible for a Secret security clearance
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and database software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management preferred
- Familiarity with government or military property management standards a plus
