Senior Director – U.S. Ethics & Compliance Advisor (HIV)

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is recruiting a Senior Director - U.S. Ethics & Compliance Advisor (HIV) for a full-time position at our Belmont, San Mateo County headquarters. As a leader in global health with over three decades of HIV treatment innovation, we need an experienced senior compliance advisor to strengthen our ethics and regulatory compliance framework across our U.S. HIV portfolio.

About the Role

You'll serve as a senior strategic advisor responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive ethics and compliance programs for Gilead's HIV therapeutic initiatives. This senior leadership position requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, and ethical business practices within the HIV treatment space.

What You'll Do

• Design and manage ethics and compliance frameworks for HIV-related products, programs, and services across the United States
• Advise senior leadership and cross-functional teams on regulatory compliance, FDA guidelines, and ethical obligations in HIV care
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs for HIV product lines
• Monitor organizational practices to identify and mitigate compliance risks in HIV treatment and access initiatives
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, anti-corruption laws, and industry standards
• Lead investigations and resolution of ethics and compliance concerns within the HIV division
• Collaborate with legal, medical, and commercial teams to integrate ethics and compliance into HIV program decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience in healthcare ethics, regulatory compliance, or related compliance leadership roles
• Deep understanding of FDA regulations, healthcare compliance requirements, and U.S. healthcare law
• Knowledge of HIV treatment landscape, patient access programs, and HIV-specific regulatory considerations
• Proven ability to develop and communicate compliance strategies to executive leadership
• Strong ethical judgment, integrity, and commitment to healthcare compliance excellence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
