Director of Energy Storage, O&M

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Energy Storage, O&M to establish and lead a new battery storage operations and maintenance business line serving utility-scale projects across the United States. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build an operations and maintenance function from the ground up within an established energy infrastructure organization.

About the Role

You will create and oversee a new operations and maintenance business unit dedicated to battery energy storage systems. Building this service line from inception, you'll integrate battery storage O&M capabilities into SOLV Energy's existing infrastructure operations, positioning the company to capture growth in the nation's expanding energy storage market.

What You'll Do

• Design operational frameworks, staffing structures, and service models for utility-scale battery energy storage maintenance
• Establish maintenance protocols, safety procedures, and performance standards for energy storage installations
• Build and direct operations teams responsible for managing battery storage facility performance and uptime
• Collaborate with SOLV Energy's solar and electrical substation divisions to integrate services and maximize customer value
• Develop business strategy, identify market opportunities, and drive revenue growth for the O&M service line
• Manage financial performance, budgets, and profitability metrics for the battery storage business unit
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to energy storage industry standards and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience launching and scaling new business lines or service offerings in energy infrastructure
• Technical expertise in battery energy storage system operations, maintenance, and performance optimization
• Proven leadership managing operations teams across multiple utility-scale energy projects
• Strong background in operations and maintenance business models and financial management
• Experience building distributed operations networks and managing geographically dispersed teams
• Understanding of renewable energy market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and technical standards
