About the Role
As a Pro Customer Service/Sales associate, you're the front line between Home Depot and the trades professionals who build our community. You'll combine consultative selling with operational excellence—helping customers find exactly what they need, processing their orders efficiently, and ensuring their materials are loaded safely and ready to go. This role sits at the intersection of expertise, service, and logistics.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert product guidance to contractors and commercial buyers, helping them select the right materials and quantities for their specific projects
- Process Pro orders promptly and accurately, whether in-store, by phone, or through digital channels
- Coordinate and oversee safe loading of materials, ensuring orders are complete and products are protected during transport
- Build ongoing relationships with regular Pro customers, learning their preferences and project needs
- Manage delivery logistics and communicate timelines clearly with professional clients
- Stay current on product inventory, specs, and pricing to answer questions and solve problems on the spot
- Support Pro account inquiries, credit questions, and special order requests
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a trade-related field
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical product information clearly
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with physical demands (loading, standing, occasional lifting)
- Reliability and a customer-first mindset—Pro customers have tight deadlines and depend on you
- Basic math skills for estimates and order fulfillment accuracy
- A genuine interest in construction, contracting, or home improvement
