Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

About the Role

As an RN in Oncology at Manchester Memorial Hospital, you'll provide direct patient care within a specialized cancer treatment setting. You'll work collaboratively with oncologists, nurses, and support staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care focused on clinical excellence and patient comfort. Located at 71 Haynes Street, our facility is part of Connecticut's largest and most comprehensive healthcare network, Hartford HealthCare, serving the Greater Manchester Region.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor oncology patients, documenting clinical findings and responding to changes in condition
• Administer chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive medications under physician direction
• Manage pain and symptoms to optimize patient comfort throughout treatment
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies
• Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols in the clinical setting
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients navigating cancer care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clinical updates to the healthcare team

What We're Looking For

• Valid, current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
• Clinical nursing experience, preferably in oncology, acute care, or related specialty
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with compassion for patients and families
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development in oncology nursing
