Hudson Cook, LLP, a financial services law firm with a national practice, is hiring an Associate Attorney to join our Consumer Litigation and Government Investigations practice in Rosslyn, Arlington County. About the Role
As an Associate Attorney in Consumer Litigation and Government Investigations at Hudson Cook, LLP, you'll counsel businesses navigating complex regulatory challenges and enforcement actions. You'll work alongside experienced practitioners on high-impact matters, developing expertise in consumer protection law and litigation strategy.
What You'll Do
- Advise clients on consumer protection compliance and regulatory obligations
- Manage consumer litigation matters from investigation through resolution
- Respond to government investigations, subpoenas, and civil investigative demands
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on consumer law issues
- Handle discovery management and prepare deposition materials
- Support settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and regulatory agencies
- Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on case direction and resolution options
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar license (or eligibility for admission) in any US jurisdiction
- Minimum 4 years of commercial or consumer litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience managing discovery, depositions, and litigation workflows
- Knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulatory procedures
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
