About the Role
This travel speech pathology position places you in a dynamic healthcare environment where you'll deliver direct patient care across diverse settings. You'll work independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships with clinical teams while maintaining the schedule flexibility that travel assignments provide.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with patient goals and clinical standards
- Document clinical findings, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and care teams across the organization
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercise programs
- Adapt evidence-based interventions to diverse patient populations and clinical settings
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and treatment planning meetings
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Current Rhode Island state licensure or eligibility for expedited licensing
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Clinical experience with adult and/or pediatric populations
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for travel-based clinical assignments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
