About the Role
We're looking for a passionate educator ready to work 30 hours per week supporting students with diverse learning needs. What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects and functional life skills
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies based on data and student responses
- Create an inclusive, accessible classroom environment that honors diverse learning styles
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive special education planning
What We're Looking For
- Valid California teaching credential with special education authorization
- Experience working with students with disabilities across grade levels or disability categories
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and colleagues
- Commitment to differentiated instruction and evidence-based special education practices
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain detailed documentation
- Passion for student advocacy and creating equitable learning opportunities
Compensation & Benefits
Earn a $2,000 completion bonus for finishing the full school year, plus the opportunity to earn up to $3,000 in referral bonuses by recommending fellow educators. Epic Special Education Staffing provides placement support so you can focus on what matters most — your students.
