About the Role

As a full-time High School Mathematics Teacher at our Akron campus, you'll lead engaging mathematics instruction for secondary students. This exempt position reports directly to the principal and places you at the center of our academic mission. Your classroom becomes a hub where students develop conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and confidence in mathematical reasoning.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver standards-aligned mathematics lessons across algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, or calculus courses
• Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, adjusting instruction to address learning gaps
• Cultivate an academically rigorous environment that remains accessible and welcoming to diverse learners
• Engage students in problem-solving, mathematical discourse, and reasoning that builds deeper comprehension
• Maintain transparent communication with families regarding student achievement and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum refinement
• Contribute to schoolwide initiatives that advance college and career readiness

What We're Looking For

• Valid state teaching certification or demonstrated eligibility in secondary mathematics
• Strong content knowledge and proven skill in high school mathematics pedagogy
• Commitment to rigorous, evidence-based instruction and academic excellence
• Experience differentiating lessons to support students at varying performance levels
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Genuine enthusiasm for developing mathematically confident, engaged learners
