Join Readerlink Distribution Services as a General Warehouse Associate on our 1st shift team (Friday–Monday) in Salem, Virginia, earning $18.50 per hour. This full-time position offers reliable work managing our distribution operations with consistent, predictable scheduling.
About the Role
As a General Warehouse Associate, you'll support daily operations across our Salem facility, handling receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. Your attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures are essential to maintaining accuracy and keeping our warehouse running efficiently every shift.
What You'll Do
- Receive incoming shipments and process them into inventory systems
- Pick and pack orders using detailed picking instructions and warehouse procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment including scanners, tablets, and hand-held radios for inventory tracking and team communication
- Organize and maintain warehouse shelving, bins, and work areas to safety and efficiency standards
- Verify orders for accuracy before shipment and resolve any issues
- Communicate with management and warehouse team members to support smooth operations
- Perform basic math for inventory counts, cycle counts, and order reconciliation
- Meet productivity expectations while prioritizing safety and quality
What We're Looking For
- Detail-oriented approach to following instructions and completing tasks accurately
- Reliable attendance and commitment to the Friday–Monday schedule
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn electronic warehouse devices (scanners, tablets, radios)
- Basic math and counting skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
- Physical capability to lift items, stand for extended periods, and move throughout the warehouse
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to warehouse procedures and processes
