About the Role
As a Financial Advisor with Truist Investment Services in Reston, you'll be the trusted partner guiding clients through financial decisions. You'll combine personalized advice with access to a broad suite of investment and planning tools, helping individuals and families align their money with their priorities.
What You'll Do
- Meet with clients to understand financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizons
- Develop customized investment strategies and financial plans
- Recommend appropriate products and services from Truist's investment platform
- Monitor client portfolios and adjust strategies as circumstances evolve
- Build and maintain a client base through relationship management and referrals
- Stay current on market conditions, economic trends, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with other specialists—tax advisors, estate planners, and lending professionals—to deliver comprehensive guidance
What We're Looking For
- Series 7 and Series 65 (or equivalent) licenses, or willingness to obtain them
- Experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or related investment roles
- Strong understanding of investment products, asset allocation, and financial planning principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts for diverse clients
- Genuine interest in understanding clients' objectives and building long-term relationships
- Demonstrated business development capability and comfort with client prospecting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to compliance and ethical standards
