About the Role

As an Interior Designer at Steinhafels, you'll work directly with homeowners and clients to understand their aesthetic preferences, lifestyle needs, and design goals. You'll develop comprehensive design solutions that transform residential spaces through thoughtful space planning, material curation, and coordinated décor. This role blends creative design expertise with client relationship management, giving you the satisfaction of seeing your concepts realized in real homes throughout Waukesha County and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Consult with clients to evaluate their spaces, discuss design objectives, and establish project parameters and budgets
• Develop design concepts, floor plans, mood boards, and visual presentations that reflect client preferences
• Select furnishings, color schemes, finishes, and décor elements that enhance both form and function
• Create detailed specifications and procurement documents for ordered items and services
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and installation professionals to execute projects successfully
• Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining clear, ongoing communication with clients

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience as an Interior Designer or equivalent design role
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design range, style, and completed projects
• Proficiency with design software and digital tools for space planning and renderings
• Solid foundation in interior design principles, color theory, spatial composition, and materials
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging with diverse clients
• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail
• Creative problem-solving approach and flexibility in responding to client feedback
