Engineering Technician

KBR is hiring an Engineering Technician at our South Base facility in Houston County to deliver essential support for advanced aircraft maintenance, testing, and technical operations on C-130 platforms.

About the Role

As an Engineering Technician at KBR's South Base location, you'll bridge hands-on execution and engineering expertise on one of the world's most critical military transport aircraft. This full-time position places you at the center of C-130J and C-130H system sustainment, where your technical precision directly impacts mission readiness and aircraft performance.

What You'll Do

• Conduct hands-on testing, inspections, and troubleshooting of C-130J and C-130H aircraft systems
• Support avionics, propulsion, and propeller assembly operations, including 54H60, NP2000, and R391 component work
• Collaborate directly with engineering staff to execute system evaluations and validate technical modifications
• Perform maintenance and sustainment activities that keep complex aircraft platforms operationally reliable
• Document findings, test results, and technical data to support ongoing system improvement

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience with aircraft systems, avionics, propulsion, or related mechanical and electrical technical work
• Hands-on proficiency in testing, inspection, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams in a structured, compliance-focused environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy and safety protocols
