About the Role

As a high school teacher at Gestalt Community Schools, you'll deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction to 9th through 12th grade students in a dynamic, mission-driven charter school setting. You'll be instrumental in preparing scholars for college success while fostering meaningful connections between our school and the broader Memphis community.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons aligned with state standards and college-preparatory curriculum
• Build supportive relationships with students and families to foster academic growth and personal development
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive school culture focused on excellence
• Actively engage families and the Memphis community in the educational process
• Participate in professional development to strengthen instructional practice
• Maintain organized records of student progress and instructional activities

What We're Looking For

• Valid Tennessee teaching license in your subject area (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated ability to teach secondary content effectively to diverse learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student-centered, innovative instruction
• Passion for college preparatory education and community engagement
• Ability to work collaboratively in a school culture dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods through education
