Sr. Employee & Labor Relations Advisor

About the Role

As a senior labor relations professional, you'll be the strategic voice guiding our organization through complex employment challenges, policy development, and regulatory compliance. You'll report directly to leadership while serving as a trusted advisor to managers, executives, and employees across Adventist Health's diverse workforce in Placer County and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Advise management on employment law, labor regulations, and best practices in employee relations
• Develop, interpret, and implement HR policies that balance organizational needs with employee interests
• Investigate and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts with professionalism and discretion
• Coach managers on difficult conversations, performance management, and disciplinary actions
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations and documentation standards
• Support litigation preparation and provide expert counsel during sensitive disputes
• Partner with shared service teams to create scalable, consistent approaches to labor relations challenges
• Maintain confidentiality while building credibility across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive employee relations or labor relations experience in a complex organization
• Demonstrable expertise in employment law, compliance, and conflict resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
• Strategic mindset with ability to balance competing interests and ambiguity
• Discretion, emotional intelligence, and professional judgment in sensitive situations
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and documentation tools
