Respiratory Unit – Respiratory Therapist

Trusted Health is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a position in Metairie Terrace, Metairie. About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist on the respiratory unit, you'll deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a range of conditions and acuity levels. What You'll Do

• Assess patients' respiratory status and respond to changes in clinical condition
• Set up, manage, and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
• Administer aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and other prescribed respiratory treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, airway management, and related procedures
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and clinical interventions
• Respond to critical situations and emergencies with clinical competency

What We're Looking For

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure and CRTT or RRT certification
• Recent clinical experience in acute or critical care respiratory therapy
• Proficiency with ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and standard respiratory equipment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in healthcare team environments
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety standards
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced respiratory unit setting
