About the Role

The Phoenix VA Health Care System seeks a skilled Interventional Cardiologist to provide exceptional cardiac care to Veterans in our community. This role is central to our cardiology program, which serves as both a fellowship training site and an Internal Medicine residency rotation location, allowing you to contribute to the next generation of physicians while delivering direct patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Manage complex coronary artery disease cases using percutaneous coronary intervention
  • Provide consultation to inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiothoracic surgery and internal medicine
  • Supervise and educate fellows and residents in cardiology and internal medicine
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcomes research
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of continuing medical education

What We're Looking For

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
  • Active unrestricted medical license in Arizona or ability to obtain one
  • DEA registration and eligibility for credentialing with the VA
  • Strong clinical skills and demonstrated excellence in patient care
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring trainee physicians
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare system
