About the Role
The Phoenix VA Health Care System seeks a skilled Interventional Cardiologist to provide exceptional cardiac care to Veterans in our community. This role is central to our cardiology program, which serves as both a fellowship training site and an Internal Medicine residency rotation location, allowing you to contribute to the next generation of physicians while delivering direct patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures
- Manage complex coronary artery disease cases using percutaneous coronary intervention
- Provide consultation to inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiothoracic surgery and internal medicine
- Supervise and educate fellows and residents in cardiology and internal medicine
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcomes research
- Contribute to the development and delivery of continuing medical education
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
- Active unrestricted medical license in Arizona or ability to obtain one
- DEA registration and eligibility for credentialing with the VA
- Strong clinical skills and demonstrated excellence in patient care
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring trainee physicians
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare system
