About the Role

As our Family Support Specialist-Visitation, you'll facilitate supervised visits between children and their family members, creating a warm and welcoming environment that supports healthy family bonding. Your role is essential in helping families maintain meaningful connections while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants. You'll work closely with social workers, families, and children to foster positive interactions and document progress in a professional, compassionate manner.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and facilitate visits between children and family members in a supportive setting
• Create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment for family interactions
• Observe and document visit dynamics, behaviors, and family interactions according to established protocols
• Support positive communication and connection-building between family members
• Follow all safety procedures and organizational policies to ensure child protection
• Communicate observations and updates to supervisors and case management teams
• Respond professionally to challenging situations while maintaining a calm, supportive presence

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or training in social services a plus
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in emotionally complex situations
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Background clearance eligibility (fingerprinting and reference checks required)
