Available August 12, 2026, this position offers a competitive salary of $51,388–$75,906, negotiable based on your education, qualifications, and experience in science education.

About the Role

As a Middle School 8th Grade Science Teacher, you'll design and deliver rigorous, engaging science curriculum that builds students' understanding of core scientific concepts and practices. You'll create a dynamic classroom environment where curiosity drives learning and where every student can succeed in science.

What You'll Do

• Plan, prepare, and teach science lessons aligned with state standards and district curriculum
• Conduct hands-on laboratory activities and experiments that bring science concepts to life
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom where students feel empowered to ask questions and take intellectual risks
• Communicate progress and concerns with families and collaborate with fellow educators
• Support the academic and personal growth of adolescent learners through mentorship and high expectations

What We're Looking For

• Valid teaching license or certification in science (or equivalent, per state requirements)
• Strong content knowledge in life science, physical science, earth science, or related disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and engage diverse learners
• Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
