Lutheran Community Home is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide for its senior living community in Seymour — a hands-on kitchen and dining support role available across two shifts: 7a–3p and 3:30–6:30p.

About the Role

As a Dietary Aide at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, you'll work alongside the culinary team to ensure residents receive nourishing, well-presented meals in a clean and welcoming dining environment. This part-time position is ideal for someone who takes pride in caring for others and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen setting. All dietary positions require rotating weekend coverage every other weekend.

What You'll Do

• Support the cook in preparing and portioning resident meals
• Deliver food and beverages to residents in a timely, courteous manner
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitation-compliant kitchen workspace throughout your shift
• Assist with dining room setup and breakdown as needed
• Follow food safety guidelines and facility policies at all times

What We're Looking For

• Reliable attendance and punctuality — shift consistency matters in a care environment
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Comfortable standing and remaining active for the duration of your shift
• A team-first attitude and genuine willingness to support residents and kitchen staff
• Prior food service or dietary experience is a plus, but not required
• Availability to work every other weekend as part of the dietary department rotation
