Travel Occupational Therapist – $1,784 per week

Focus Staff is looking for a skilled Travel Occupational Therapist to join a full-time contract opportunity in Washington, Illinois — a welcoming community in Tazewell County offering a meaningful clinical experience alongside competitive compensation of $1,784 per week.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel therapy assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a standard daytime schedule of 8-hour shifts at 40 hours per week. As a travel OT placed by Focus Staff, you'll step into an established therapy environment and make an immediate impact on patients' functional independence and quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients regain or develop skills needed for daily living and work activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams — including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers — to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support long-term functional goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with state and facility policies

What We're Looking For

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility to obtain one) in the state of Illinois
• Graduate of an accredited OT program; NBCOT certification required or in progress
• Minimum of one year of clinical occupational therapy experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a new facility's workflows
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort with travel assignments and the flexibility that comes with contract therapy work
