Drive long-haul with a stable, family-run carrier: WOODFIELD INC is hiring an experienced CDL A Company Driver for solo OTR dry van routes based out of Champaign, Champaign County.
About the Role
This is a full-time, W2 over-the-road position operating late-model dry van equipment. As a solo company driver with WOODFIELD INC in Champaign, you'll cover long-distance freight lanes while enjoying trucks outfitted with the amenities that keep miles comfortable. Pay averages $1,300 to $1,700 per week at a rate of $0.61 per mile, with typical weekly mileage running between 2,800 and 3,200 miles. A $4,000 sign-on incentive is included with this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport dry van freight across OTR routes as a solo company driver.
- Operate and maintain late-model equipment in accordance with company and DOT standards.
- Complete consistent long-haul runs averaging 2,800–3,200 miles each week.
- Follow all federal hours-of-service and safety regulations on every trip.
- Communicate reliably with dispatch to keep loads moving on schedule.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A (CDL A) commercial driver's license.
- Comfortable running solo over-the-road for extended periods.
- Experience handling dry van freight is a strong advantage.
- Commitment to safe driving practices and on-time delivery.
