Freeman Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Birthing Center on a part-time night schedule, supporting families through one of life's most meaningful moments at our hospital in the United States.
About the Role
As an RN in the Birthing Center, you will deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, and recovery. This part-time nights position covers approximately 24 hours per week and is an on-site role based in the US — there is no remote option. You'll work within one of the region's high-volume maternity programs, located on the first floor of Freeman Hospital West, where private suites give families a comfortable and personalized birthing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery during night shifts
- Monitor maternal and newborn well-being and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support patients in exploring the variety of labor options available in our private birthing suites
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the care team to coordinate safe, individualized care
- Educate new parents on postpartum recovery and newborn care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice in the United States
- Clinical background or interest in obstetrics, labor and delivery, or maternal-newborn nursing preferred
- Availability to work night shifts on a part-time basis (approximately 24 hours weekly)
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
