About the Role
As an Asset Protection Specialist, your core mission is to reduce financial loss tied to theft and fraudulent activity across your assigned store or group of stores. You'll act as a frontline guardian of company assets, blending sharp observation with practical security tools to identify and respond to risk. Beyond loss prevention, you'll play an active part in upholding safety and environmental program standards, helping keep both associates and customers protected each day. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Spring Valley Lake.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and address instances of theft and fraud before they impact store performance.
- Monitor and review CCTV footage and exception reporting to spot suspicious patterns and activity.
- Apply available loss-prevention tools and techniques to minimize shrink across your assigned location(s).
- Support compliance with company safety and environmental programs.
- Partner with store leadership and associates to promote awareness around security and loss prevention.
- Document incidents accurately and follow established investigation procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize unusual behavior or transaction patterns.
- Comfort working with surveillance technology, including CCTV systems and exception-reporting tools.
- Sound judgment and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced or sensitive situations.
- A commitment to safety, integrity, and consistent program compliance.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time at the Spring Valley Lake, San Bernardino County location.
