About the Role

This is a defense-side, litigation-driven position based in Chicago, Cook County, offered on a hybrid schedule and as a full-time engagement. The successful candidate will manage complex employment litigation while delivering proactive, practical counseling to a roster of demanding employer clients. It is an opportunity to blend courtroom advocacy with strategic advisory work inside an established national firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the defense of employers in labor and employment litigation across federal and state forums.
• Advise sophisticated employer clients on day-to-day workplace, compliance, and risk-management matters.
• Handle high-stakes employment disputes from early case assessment through resolution.
• Develop legal strategy, manage case workflow, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience practicing labor and employment law, with a clear focus on the defense side.
• A strong background in employment litigation paired with the judgment to provide preventive counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated employer relationships and high-value matters independently.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois (or eligibility for admission).
