This travel radiology position places you in the cardiac catheterization lab of a Bakersfield, Kern County facility, where you'll support diagnostic and interventional procedures alongside a skilled clinical team. The contract runs for 13 weeks with an ASAP start, working four 10-hour day shifts for a total of 40 hours each week. Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in the cath lab.
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and readiness for each procedure.
- Operate and monitor imaging and hemodynamic equipment throughout cases.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow established radiation safety protocols.
- Document procedural details accurately and collaborate with the broader care team.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working as a Cath Lab Tech in a hospital or surgical environment.
- Current, applicable certifications and licensure required to practice in California.
- Availability to begin promptly and commit to the full 13-week contract in Bakersfield, CA.
- Comfort working 10-hour day shifts across a four-day weekly schedule.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and clear communication as a traveling clinician.
