About the Role

As a 2nd Shift Floor Tech (Position 3109) based in Kansas City, you will be responsible for the upkeep and care of flooring across the educational facilities served by HES Facilities. Working the evening shift, you'll play a key part in ensuring buildings are spotless and ready for staff and students each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish a variety of hard and soft floor surfaces.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Complete assigned floor maintenance tasks reliably during the 5:30pm–1:30am shift.
• Report equipment issues and supply needs to supervisors in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in floor care, custodial work, or facilities maintenance is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an evening shift team.
• Comfortable operating floor maintenance machinery and performing physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Availability to work the full 2nd shift schedule on-site in Kansas City.
