About the Role
This full-time, nine-month faculty appointment sits within the College of Health and Human Services, School of Nursing. We are seeking a certified Family Nurse Practitioner to contribute to teaching and program excellence as either an Assistant Professor or Instructor, with rank determined by experience and credentials. The position is based on campus in Toledo and falls under the AAUP bargaining unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction across nursing and FNP-focused coursework.
- Mentor and advise nursing students as they progress toward advanced practice careers.
- Support curriculum development and ongoing program quality in the School of Nursing.
- Engage in scholarship, service, and professional activities appropriate to rank.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues across the College of Health and Human Services.
Qualifications
- Active certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Educational preparation and clinical background suited to an Assistant Professor or Instructor appointment.
- Commitment to teaching, student success, and the values of academic nursing.
- Ability to work on-site at the University of Toledo's Toledo, Lucas County campus.
