About the Role
The Program Instructor (Dubois Elementary School, 2562) is a full-time, on-site position based in The Loop, Chicago. In this role, you'll work directly with students at Dubois Elementary School, serving as a trusted and caring adult who supports their academic growth and personal development. You'll meet young people where they are—both physically and emotionally—and help them stay focused on their education while navigating everyday challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate program sessions for students at Dubois Elementary School.
- Build supportive, trusting relationships that encourage students to engage and grow.
- Guide young people through academic and personal obstacles with patience and care.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that keeps students focused on their learning goals.
- Collaborate with school staff and the Youth Guidance team to support each student's success.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to mentoring and supporting young people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students and school partners.
- The ability to connect with youth and meet them where they are, both emotionally and academically.
- Availability for a full-time, in-person schedule at Dubois Elementary School in The Loop, Chicago.
