Youth Guidance is seeking a dedicated WOW Counselor II to bring compassionate, school-based mental health support to young people in Munhall, Allegheny County. About the Role

As a WOW Counselor II with Youth Guidance in Munhall, you will lead group counseling sessions and provide one-on-one guidance to female-identifying students in grades 6 through 12. Working directly within partner schools, you will help young people strengthen their emotional health, form healthy relationships, and develop the skills to make thoughtful, positive decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate school-based group counseling tailored to female-identifying students in grades 6–12.
• Offer individualized support that addresses each student's unique social and emotional needs.
• Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices throughout your work with students.
• Foster emotional well-being, healthy relationships, and constructive decision-making among program participants.
• Collaborate with school staff and the broader Youth Guidance team to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Academic preparation in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.
