About the Role
As a Caregiver/CNA with A Place at Home Encinitas, you will support seniors and clients in and around La Jolla, helping them live safely and comfortably in their own homes. This is a development-focused position: strong performers are mentored and prepared to step into Care Supervisor responsibilities over time. The role is full-time and on-site (not remote), serving clients throughout San Diego County.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care, companionship, and daily living assistance to clients in their homes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for each individual you serve
- Communicate clearly with families and the care team about client needs and changes
- Cover scheduled shifts reliably across mornings (6:00 AM–12:00 PM), afternoons (12:00 PM–7:00 PM), or evenings (4:00 PM–11:00 PM)
- Build the skills and consistency needed to advance toward a Care Supervisor position
Qualifications
- Experience as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Genuine commitment to dignity, empathy, and quality care for seniors and clients
- Dependable availability for a recurring weekly schedule — Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, or Saturday/Sunday (full set of days for your chosen pattern strongly preferred)
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to grow into a supervisory role
- Ability to work on-site in La Jolla and the surrounding San Diego County area
