Lead the legal strategy behind one of the energy sector's most ambitious build-outs as the Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial – Construction at TerraPower in Bellevue, Washington, Washington. This full-time, on-site role puts you at the center of the commercial and construction agreements that turn next-generation nuclear technology into operating reality.
About the Role
As Senior Corporate Counsel for Commercial – Construction, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor on the contracts and deals that support TerraPower's large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Based in Bellevue, you will partner closely with business, engineering, and procurement teams to structure, negotiate, and manage agreements that move complex capital projects forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction, engineering, procurement, and related commercial contracts.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risk across the full lifecycle of major construction projects.
- Counsel project and business teams on contractual rights, obligations, and dispute avoidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align legal strategy with company and project objectives.
- Support compliance and governance for high-value commercial arrangements.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
- Substantial experience advising on commercial and construction-related agreements, ideally for large or capital-intensive projects.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills paired with sound, practical business judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work on-site with teams in Bellevue, Washington.
