About the Role
As a Travel Nurse RN – Labor and Delivery with Trustaff, you'll join the maternity care team in Rochester on a 13-week contract working 36 hours each week across 12-hour shifts. This full-time travel position (Job ID 1675083) is slated to begin on July 20, 2026, and is ideal for a registered nurse who thrives in a fast-paced obstetric environment and enjoys the flexibility and variety that travel nursing provides.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Assist physicians and the care team during vaginal and cesarean births
- Provide newborn assessment and support immediately following delivery
- Educate and reassure patients and families at every stage of the birthing process
- Document care accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license valid for the assignment location
- Demonstrated experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse
- Current relevant certifications appropriate to obstetric nursing practice
- Availability to commit to a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week schedule on 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
