As the Manager – Substitute and Strategic Staffing and Partnerships, you will oversee the systems, people, and relationships that ensure Fort Worth ISD schools remain fully staffed. Based on-site at the District Service Center in the United States (nationwide), this leadership position blends day-to-day substitute coordination with longer-range workforce strategy and external collaboration. This is an in-person role within the DFW Area Application Consortium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention of substitute staff across the district.
  • Shape and execute strategic staffing plans that anticipate coverage needs and reduce vacancies.
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, staffing providers, and educational programs to widen the talent pipeline.
  • Track staffing data and absence trends to guide decisions and improve fill rates.
  • Collaborate with campus and central office leaders to align staffing support with district priorities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience, ideally in staffing, human resources, or a school district setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple campuses.
  • Skill in building and sustaining professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with staffing data to inform planning and reporting.
  • Availability to work full-time, on-site at the District Service Center.
