Pilgrim's is looking for a full-time Waste Water Maintenance professional to join our team in Sumter, Sumter County. In this hourly position, you'll perform essential preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and manage wastewater systems to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, full-time maintenance position in our Sumter facility. You'll take ownership of preventive maintenance tasks and equipment repairs that are critical to our wastewater systems' safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, and equipment testing to prevent equipment failures
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including pump rebuilding and replacement of seals or impellers
- Repair underground piping systems and electrical controls
- Maintain and clean collection systems to ensure proper daily operation
- Document all maintenance activities and communicate findings to your supervisor
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in wastewater maintenance, equipment repair, or related industrial maintenance roles
- Working knowledge of pumping systems, piping, and electrical equipment
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and work independently when needed
