Facility Solutions Group is seeking a Vendor Specialist to join its team in North Branch, Dallas.
About the Role
In this full‑time position, you will serve as the primary liaison between the company and its external suppliers, ensuring that all vendor interactions support our commitment to delivering high‑quality lighting, electrical, energy, and technology solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors for lighting fixtures, electrical components, and related technology products.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new suppliers, including documentation, compliance checks, and performance expectations.
- Monitor vendor deliverables against project timelines and quality standards, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements in the procurement system.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as project management, operations, and finance to align vendor capabilities with business needs.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in sourcing alternative suppliers to enhance cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.
- Stay informed about industry trends in lighting and electrical markets to recommend strategic vendor partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain coordination, preferably within the lighting, electrical, or facilities sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build collaborative partnerships with external partners.
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail for managing contracts, invoices, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interface with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
